The ending sequence is altered: Mario or Luigi stops walking sooner, then turns to face the gate.The bonus star system is no longer present, so the Giant Gate rewards points instead.Luigi uses a new sprite, which is mostly a combination of the head from the Super Mario All-Stars version and the body of the original but the exact sprite has not been seen before.Yoshi's arms are now the same color as the rest of his body.Bob-ombs and Munchers have new sprites with more detail. If you are hurt while flying, you will become invulnerable and drop out of the sky, but do not lose the power-up. By stopping to dash, the player will drop out of the sky. If a player dive-bombs into the ground, it will defeat all enemies on the ground (similarly to a POW Block effect). Spin jumps instantly defeat certain enemeies and allows characters to bounce off of spiked enemies like Piranha Plants, Spike Balls and Thwomps.īy tilting, your character will appear to look up in this style.
